Welcome to day two of my Valentine's Day outfit series! Today I decided to go with something cute and a bit cheeky. Honestly, I felt super cute wearing it. What we have here is a simple black ponte pant which I ankle rolled to get a ankle-cut look, paired with school girl heels. Then I layered an embellished blouse under a super warm cashmere sweater, which was actually my dad's from college (yea, way back when.) Because wearing red for Valentine's Day is monotonously chiche, I added a pop of color with these blue studs from the Mozambican women's empowerment group, Kurandza. And of course, I polished this all off with my new 5 free, water-based red polish from Scotch Naturals. Be sure to do your nails before bed to avoid immediate water contact and to allow for proper time for the paint to bond. ;)
Since I shall not have a Valentine this Valentine's Day I decided to resort to fond memories. Meet Mr. Beary. My family gave him to my mom two years ago. The love of my family is more than enough. If Valentine's Day is to celebrate great love, then every day is Valentine's Day because every day I am uberly grateful for my family's immense love and sacrifice and that of Jesus Christ (the glue that keeps my crazy family together.)
