Recapturing Hope

I have now realized that this new "maturity" I am growing into is accompanied by many new things.   For one, I am thinking through many more decisions I make and things I am about to say before following through.  Second, I am trying to become selfless in a way that allows me to share the joy I have inside in a manner that ATTEMPTS to draw less attention to myself.  Third, I am seeing God in so much more in life.  This third point is something I have missed and anticipated.

Oh... how youth so easily escapes your life, but upon return it's like the gentle touch of a mother cradling her baby who was crying out, just to be held.  Just because time passes by does not mean times have to change from your perspective.

But seriously... I do not see why people think being truly happy and filled with joy is so outlandish.  My joy comes from the Lord.  Obviously I haven't been "happy happy" every single breathing moment of my existence.  I have gone through "gray periods in life" where I feel like I am hiding from our Lord or am so preoccupied with school, work, volunteering, family and projects that I am in a sense running away or past God.  And yes, everyone can fake something; but only for so long.  True joy is so precious.  I am so happy I am filled with it once again- but I know it is only from Our God.
