This week I took a 48 hour visit to NYC to shoot Elegantees Winter and Holiday Lookbook. Elegantees is a small company that sells tops made by survivors of human trafficking. The sewing programs help the women survivors earn a stable, higher wage while being offered support services to assist them on they journey to healing. :) Check out my interview with Elegantees to learn more about their programs and their founder Katie! They are also participating in Dressember. Check out their special edition Dressember dress styles here.

I was so excited to be able to participate in this photoshoot and it also served as a sort of "Hoorah" for completing my first semester of grad school! (YES, I ACTUALLY MADE IT!) Because the photoshoot was right after finals, literally I handed in my last paper and missed my flight to NYC because I was working on my paper still, I used lots of cover up on the bags under my eyes. lol. But hey, you can't even tell, right?

Something more about the shoot, I was so excited because my BFF from California, also my Mini, was a part of the photoshoot as well! If you don't know her already, let me introduce you to Aditi Mayer from the blog ADIMAY. She is such a loving, bright, creative light in my life and I am so blessed to have her as my Mini. Her photography is also stunning, so be sure to go take a look at it. She is a fine arts photographer who loves capturing dark, romantic hues in her imagery.

That's all for now. I spent a few hours editing the BTS video below, so I hope you watch it and like it on Youtube. haha ...that will be a bit of self-validation for me... not that I really need it, I suppose. :p

Editing videos always take WAAAAAY longer than I expect. I hope you enjoyed it! :p
Random thought: I can't believe it's almost Christmas; I love celebrating Jesus' birth! I am so excited for Christmas mass! God bless.

Merry Christmas,
Christine
